The First Regional Edutourism Congress is a regionally-hosted program that aims to promote a resilient, relevant, and responsive tourism industry in the country through a set of projects scheduled to be launched on June 14-16, 2023 via hybrid platform (onsite: LSPU-San Pablo City Campus, Laguna; online: Zoom, Facebook, Youtube).
The Congress is composed of the following components: forum sessions, research presentations, contests, virtual tourism (e-museum), food tourism (video series), and English language training (manga serye). The outputs from the projects will be consolidated and made available to the public via the First Regional Edutourism website which is aimed to be an online edutourism resource hub.
In collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education International Affairs Staff (CHED-IAS) for funding in the promotion of Study in the Philippines (StudyPh) program, this Congress positions Higher Education Institution (HEI) as an agent in promoting the tourism industry in collaboration with private and public sectors, community, and other stakeholders.
The LSPU Edutourism is in support to the Study in the Philippines (StudyPH) of the Commission on Higher Education.
